Guided Walkthrough
Overview
Hi Nathan! This page is a guided walkthrough of the current state of Unredacted. It’s designed to give you a clear sense of where the project stands and how it’s moving toward exhibition, while much of October will be focused on building out the AR interaction layer with the final assets. Included in this packet are:
Full mock-up of all installation panels
Link to the WIP digital twin UO Library Main Gallery space
Images of the production process for social media posts. Regular posting has begun on LinkedIn and Instagram.
Newsprint poster draft
Show card drafts
Student org outreach progress
This page is hosted as an unlinked page on my book artist website for convenience and ease of delivery. It isn’t the final project website for Unredacted. That site (unredactedart.com) will be developed separately with its own structure, identity, and documentation.
Full Panel Layout
The installation consists of a set of 6” high x 3” wide screenprinted panels that establish the visual and conceptual base for Unredacted. The images below show the full layout with a simulated black frame of the support structure.
They include:
5 panels on the circle exterior that will repeat 2x (on either side of the circle exterior)
2 panels that repeat on either side of the 2 entrances to the circle. Each will include a QR code for the AR experience for one half of the interior panels
10 interior panels - Signals, Systems, Trust, Rights, Anxiety, Verify, Engage, Create, Mobilize, and Support. The redacted text of the interior panels will be revealed by the AR layer/experience.
UO Portland Library Main Gallery space - WebXR digital twin (WIP)
The platform is undergoing a big update, so I made a short video to give you an idea of how the panels are laid out just in case.
Screenprinting Process
The following images and short clips document the production process behind the panels and will be used in social media posts.

Show Card Development
Here are a few versions of the show card currently in development. So far, I’ve gotten mixed feedback on which designs are most effective. Next, I plan to redesign and narrow it down to 2 for more controlled testing.
Outreach Update
Here’s the current status of outreach to student groups:
Contact made with student organizations connected to civic engagement, media studies, and design.
In communication with Agora Journalism Center, Intertwined, and OSPIRG Students about participating in the AR interaction prompts and exhibit week activities.
Preparing a short participation guide to support onboarding and clarify how student contributions could be integrated into the installation.
